Any individual who enters the country by air and is going to continue travel on to another country within nine (9) hours is considered a passenger in a direct-transit status. Any such person will not be required to have a visa or an in-transit traveler card, but will have to remain in the airport until he or she boards the ongoing flight. In cases any of these travelers who is in a direct transit status would like to leave the airport temporarily, regardless of the reason, he or she will have to meet the customary requirements for any tourist. See ARRIVING PASSENGERS/ IMMIGRATION The immigration inspector will have to place the in-transit initials and the time of entry so that the passenger won’t have to pay the passenger service fee.
